On November 12th I had the opportunity to be part of the LS1426 Fashion Week (Fashion and Beauty Consulting Company).
This year the show was hosted by Whitney Thompson, first plus model to win in 2008 the well-known show America’s Next Top Model.
Some of the designers that were part of the event were Franovik Designs, Big Girlz, Inc., Sarahi House of Fashion, Edward Dillard Evening Wear, Bien Roule Full Figured Curvy, Alton King, and more.
The lovely evening took place at the Marriot Miami Biscayne Bay in Miami Florida. Part of the proceeds from this year’s event was destined to charity organizations.
I’m so proud of all the models that participated in the show. They worked their curvy figures in the runway. They represented gracefully the designers and their work.

Whether faux or real, fur is made for the cool days of fall. It’s a versatile fabric and well, it makes us feel like royalty. There are vests for the cool days, coats for the even colder ones, and scarves for any day. Another one of Bloomingdale’s designated Fall 2012 trends is leather. A material as controversial as fur, it nonetheless is a big part of fashion. Whereas fur denotes glamour and luxury, leather is reminiscent of a laidback attitude. Once again, there is a split between real and fake leather here, but for the most part the pieces here are made from real leather. This may be due to the fact that pleather is not a very breathable fabric, particularly when it comes to pants and leggings. Thankfully, there are a lot of choices as to how to wear your leather. Here’s a photoshoot with russian model Viktoria Kassiyan, winner of La Donna Dolce beauty pageant , by plus-size fashion photographer Ilya Fedorov.
