PLUS SIZE FALL 2012 TREND WATCH : FUR

Whether faux or real, fur is made for the cool days of fall. It’s a versatile fabric and well, it makes us feel like royalty. There are vests for the cool days, coats for the even colder ones, and scarves for any day. Most of the things in Bloomingdale’s fur collection are made from faux fur, for those of us who’d rather go that route, but there are also a couple of pieces made from animal skins, namely rabbit and raccoon. It’s up to you to choose.  Should your personal convictions lead you away from real fur, most of their coats and vests are made from the faux material. BELLA STYLES IN ANTHONY BLING BLING FOR HSN

Skorch Magazine’s Executive Fashion Editor, Bella Styles stepped out on a recent shoot in a Mama Caftan Dress by Anthony Bling Bling for HSN. Although she wore the dress last year for RVA Fashion Week, she revamped the whole look with Turquoise accessories, a pink belt, and ‘Munroe’ pumps from last year’s Jeffrey Campbell Collection for Nordstrom.

We are reminded of the Versace Atelier Color Palette for the 2012 Fall/ Winter Collection where purple and turquoise were widely used. This pair is a very achievable, very easy example of color blocking. So if you happen to have a difficulty in doing so, you can just throw on a pair of purple jeans and a turquoise, or if you don’t have one – a teal top, and you are ready to go.

However, our team noticed that plus sized women were a hugely under represented group in the fashion industry. StylishDressing.com then repositioned itself as a ‘Curated Plus Size Fashion Inspiration’ blog. We believe that beauty does not come in any particular size or shape and believe that all designers should start to feature more plus size models. No, we are NOT against women of any size-we are only advocating a larger representation for plus size women in the fashion world.

We do not claim to be industry experts – those are the plus size magazines and plus fashion bloggers.
