Another one of Bloomingdale’s designated Fall 2012 trends is leather. A material as controversial as fur, it nonetheless is a big part of fashion. Whereas fur denotes glamour and luxury, leather is reminiscent of a laidback attitude. Once again, there is a split between real and fake leather here, but for the most part the pieces here are made from real leather. This may be due to the fact that pleather is not a very breathable fabric, particularly when it comes to pants and leggings. Thankfully, there are a lot of choices as to how to wear your leather. Lace has always been one of the most feminine and flattering materials.
